State Grid Corporation of China successfully implements forklift AGV with the help of KC

State Grid Corporation of China is a centrally managed state-owned sole proprietorship, which is a super-large state-owned key enterprise related to national energy security and the lifeline of the national economy. In order to meet the growing demand and improve the efficiency of various energy supply links, in this project, State Grid Corporation will start with a certain provincial-level material warehouse under its subsidiary, and comprehensively transform domestic material warehouses into intelligent and digital ones.

The reserve has rich materials and then uses multiple forklift AGVs to achieve automatic handling, storage, outbound and inbound storage, loading, and unloading. KC cooperates with China's top AGV host factory to improve warehouse operation efficiency, reduce costs and help improve the digital and intelligent management of the warehouse.

Facing the hard environment, how to solve this problem?

The main characteristics of the warehouse are 'dense, high-level, and complicated'. How to transform the traditional material warehouse into a modern intelligent one? The actual transformation will face considerable challenges! This also puts forward more demanding requirements for the control system.

Challenge1:

Narrow aisles and high shelves. The on-site storage density is high, the aisles are narrow, the forklift body size is large, and the narrowest aisle has only 10cm of tolerance on both sides. In addition, a nearly 2-ton transformer equipment needs to be moved to a 4-level high shelf, which has extremely high requirements for the control of the vehicle’s edge angle and positioning accuracy of the vehicle body.



KC technology: forklift agv with accuracy track control system + overload/high-level rack auto move technology. 

The project has the KC forklift-dedicated controller at its core, which enables natural navigation and meets the autonomous navigation requirements of AGV forklifts. The body control achieves a navigation positioning accuracy of ±5mm and an angle control accuracy of ±0.5°.

Challenge 2:

There are various types of objects to transport, including three different sizes of transformer materials, eight different tray carriers, 24 combination models, and hundreds of materials that need to be picked up directly without a tray. It requires not only high demands for automatic recognition technology, but also the allocation and path planning of different material handling tasks on-site. 


KC empowers the technology of ultra-long fork, high-precision dynamic trucks, and fully automated loading and unloading of heavy-duty materials.

Based on the KC pallet recognition technology, adding multi-dimensional recognition to realize Stereoscopic 3D recognition

KC technology: Simulation Dispatching tech

The compatible warehouse has an existing management system that assigns the best vehicle for different operational tasks, calculates the optimal route, and combines with 5G technology to achieve real-time visualization and 3D monitoring of on-site data.

Challenge 3:automated handling: 

Automatic loading and unloading of goods by manual trucks, displacement errors caused by non-fixed parking spaces, and height errors caused by different freight vehicle types. It is required to meet the high-precision docking of fixed connection points and temporary neat stacking of goods.



KC technology:  Open truck with adaptive precise docking technology.

Based on Kecong panoramic vision recognition technology, covering scenes, achieving recognition of target cargo posture, assisting AGV forklifts to dynamically adjust in real-time, successfully picking up different types of cargo.

 The pioneer of control system industry in China


KC empowers the project by achieving the overall design of the AGV for cross-handling, meeting the automatic recognition of the displacement of the on-site truck within 40cm, automatic recognition of different goods, different vehicle types, different pallet shapes and positions, and meeting the fast-paced, high-precision body control.

Faced with such special application scenarios and special forklifts, complex applications are full of challenges. KC's control system finally helped customers complete the project delivery, passed the national technical acceptance, broke through the technical barriers of the original foreign system, and also made end-users full of confidence in the future large-scale use of domestically produced unmanned forklift systems.
